To facilitate the formation of a cylinder head requiring the working of plural holes different in a working shaft for intake and exhaust valves and a plug tube and to provide a head hanger that contributes to the stable support of an engine. A cylinder block 3, a cylinder head 4 and a cylinder head cover 5 are stacked in the order and a valve train of an SOHC type provided with an intake valve 16 and an exhaust valve 17 is provided to the cylinder head 4. A head cover joint line L2 parallel with the joint of the cylinder head 4 and the cylinder head cover 5 is inclined forward and downward for a cylinder joint line L1 parallel with the joint of the cylinder block 3 and the cylinder head 4, and the axis J2 of the exhaust valve 17 and the axis J3 of a plug tube 50 are perpendicular to the head cover joint line L2. A head hanger 19 is integrated at the uppermost end of the back of the cylinder head 4 over an intake port 12.
