A four-link machine axle suspension system having a bottom pair of links positioned below the axle and a top pair positioned above the axle for connecting the axle to the machine chassis. In one The bottom pair of links may be oriented in a non-horizontal plane. Additionally, the bottom pair of links may be splayed inwardly and the top pair of links may be splayed outwardly with respect to the chassis central longitudinal axis. Finally, the links may be connected to the chassis and the axle by spherical bearings to permit rotational and angular motion.
