A four-piece table tennis table consisting of a first and second table top assembly. Each table top assembly including a first top section and a second opposing top section having a support assembly engageably disposed in relation thereto. In structural design, the support assembly has a first and second leg support pivotally mounted to the engagement surface of the table top assembly by means of one or more hinge members. In operation, the hinge members secure the first and second leg supports to the table top and further provide for the selective rotation of the first and second leg supports between an engagement position, disposed substantially perpendicular to the table top, and a retracted position, disposed contiguous the engagement surface of the table top. A first rigid leg and a second rigid leg, each having a general U-shaped configuration, positioned to selectively engage the opposing ends of the first and second pivotal leg supports, thereby providing a unitary support assembly for supporting the table top over a surface. The first and second rigid legs being selectively removable from engagement with the first and second pivoting leg supports and respectively disposed in relation to at least one retaining member secured to the engagement surface of the table top assembly. Correspondingly, the first and second pivotal leg supports may be selectively rotated into the retracted position for purposes of storage. Both table top assemblies of the present invention may then be stored in a side-by-side relationship, thus using a small amount of space for storage. Moreover, the present invention assists in the packaging of the component parts of the four-piece table tennis table for shipment in a relatively flat box having an outer dimensional periphery being only slightly larger than a single table top section of the four-piece table tennis table.
