A four stroke internal combustion engine is disclosed having a power take off housing located at one end of the engine. A crankshaft is operatively connected to a drive shaft and the cam shaft within the power take off housing. Furthermore, the crankshaft is operatively coupled within the power take off housing to at least one of a generator, an engine starting mechanism, a balance shaft, and a supercharger.
L'invention concerne un moteur à combustion interne à quatre temps comportant un boîtier de prise de force situé à une extrémité du moteur. Un vilebrequin est connecté exploitable à un arbre d'entraînement et à l'arbre à cames situé dans le boîtier de prise de force. De plus, le vilebrequin est couplé exploitable dans le boîtier de prise de force à au moins un des éléments suivants : générateur, mécanisme de démarrage moteur, arbre d'équilibrage du vilebrequin et compresseur à suralimentation.
