Abstract of the Disclosure A process is provided for the preparation of a gamma globulin suitable for intravenous administration from the readily available fraction II + III plasma protein paste. The fraction II ? III paste is extracted with water at a pH of 4.8 - 6.5 and impurities are fractionally precipitated by addition of polyethylene glycol to 4% of wt./vol. and then 5% wt./vol. The desired gamma globulin is then precipitated at a pH 8.0 by addition of polyethylene glycol to 12% wt./vol.
