ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A fragrance dispensing device includes an annular element made from a solid, synthetic, polymeric, plastic material, such as a low density polyethylene, containing about 5 to about 20 weight % of a vaporizable fragrance material uniformly dispersed throughout. In one embodiment, the element is mounted on an oil lamp and closely surrounds, but is maintained out of contact with, the burner assembly. When the wick is lit, heat from the burner vaporizes and drives the fragrance material from the plastic material.
