The fragrant orthodontic appliance, the method of forming the same include mixing a powdered polymeric component, a liquid monomeric component, applying the components to a mold, and cold curing the orthodontic appliance. Both the powdered and the liquid components contain a selected fragrant oil. Suspension polymerization process is utilized to encapsulate the fragrance in the powdered polymeric component.

L'invention concerne un appareil orthodontique parfumé et son procédé de fabrication, qui consiste tout d'abord à mélanger un constituant polymère en poudre et un constituant monomère liquide. Ce procédé consiste ensuite à appliquer ces constituants à un moule puis à soumettre l'appareil orthodontique ainsi obtenu à une autopolymérisation, les constituants en poudre et liquide renfermant chacun une huile parfumée définie. Ce processus de polymérisation en suspension est notamment utilisé pour encapsuler le parfum dans ledit constituant polymère en poudre.
