Abstract A frame structure for a shelter, for example a tent, consists essentially of a hub piece (9) fixed to the upper part of the shelter and frame tubes (6, 12, 14) attached to it. In the operating position these point radially away from the hub piece, and for transportation they can all be turned in essentially the same direction. The hub piece consists of a frame piece (10) and at least one intermediate arm (8) attached to it, to which the outer tubes (14) are jointed. In this way it is possible to cover a complete circle simply.
