ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A door or window frame means is disclosed of the type which can be secured to each other at their faces. The securement is effected by a tongue-and groove joint, arranged such that on a locking engagement, there is a free space left within the interengaged assembly, which is filled by a resilient rubber-like sealing strip. The two interconnected frames can be either the frames of a window or of a door or, alternatively, one of the frames may be embedded in the wall to operate as a jamb of a door or of a window. The invention facilitates mutual attachment and detachment of the window or door frames which may be desirable to increase or reduce thermal insulation during changing weather conditions or -the like.
