Abstract of the Disclosure In a press-dehydrating section in a paper making machine, for the purpose of facilitating replacement of a roll by lifting it up and axially moving it with crabs and wires, a desired length portion of a frame of the press- dehydrating section positioned above the roll to be re- placed is cut out, and both frame portions facing said cut-out portion are coupled by another frame member that is swingable by a predetermined angle in a horizontal plane. Thereby, a dangerous and troublesome operation of rehanging a roll lifted up with crabs and wires by another wire can be dispensed with.
