FRAME MEMBER FOR SUPPORTING MULTIPLE BEARINGS Abstract of the Disclosure A frame member, or bearing block, for supporting bearings for two or more parallel shafts includes two spaced bearing receiving bores and a heat barrier slot. The heat barrier slot includes a transverse segment which extends between the two bearing receiving bores and longitudinal segments which extend outwardly beyond the centers of at least one of the bores. The bearing block can be provided with three or more bores for supporting three or more parallel rolls. In the latter case the heat barrier slot includes a center section of Y-shaped configuration including transverse segments disposed between each pair of bores and endwise segments extending outwardly beyond the center of each bore.
