A furniture frame system for management of power and signal cables may be configured according to need and environment. The elements comprise horizontal beams having a channel along the length of the beam and having ports for ingress and egress of power and signal cables into and out of the channel. An access opening unto the channel is provided for easy maintenance of the channel and cables. Hollow vertical frame members connect to the beam and include a channel for the sable and also have ports for ingress and egress of cable. In the system, the vertical frame members and beams are arranged to provide a continuous channel for passage of cable. A variety of mounting and support members are attachable to the frame system for connection of accessories, including work surfaces, shelves, cabinets, and panels, to the system. One support element comprises a base, and at least three prongs projecting from the base for supporting and engaging an accessory. The prongs are spaced apart and arranged on the base to describe a triangle, and any three or more of the prongs cooperate to support and hold the accessory in position. A single prong may be used for support, or the prongs together may support and hold an accessory in position. The frame system provides for wire management in modular furniture with wire and cable access to all parts of the system with easy access to the cable and the ability to configure the system to meet individual need. The support element provides for multi-purpose accessory attachment to support or hold part of an accessory.
