Abstract of the Disclosure A frame type tractor comprising an engine in a front portion, a transmission case in a rear portion thereof, a transmission shaft extending from the engine to the transmission shaft, and a front wheel drive shaft extending from the transmission case to a front wheel axle. The transmission shaft and front wheel drive shaft are connected to lower positions of the transmission case. An operator's step is mounted over the transmission shaft and front wheel drive shaft.
