ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A frame for supporting a filter bag comprises a support mem- ber, straps and rods welded at one end to the support member and welded to the straps. The rods are located in cut-outs formed in side walls of the straps and the support member is fashioned from a flat strip of material. In order that the frame is compact and convenient for transport to the erection site yet quick and straightforward to erect, the invention is characterised in that the straps and the support member are laid out flat in an unassem- bled condition so that several such flat assemblages may then be stacked on one another for ease of transport, while at the erect- ing site the support member and straps are bent round into annular shape to give the frame a generally cylindrical configuration, the straps being bent in the region of each cut-out so as to deform each cut-out to retain the corresponding rod therein.
