ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Framework structures comprising tube or rod shaped elements which are removably interconnected at their ends are disclosed. The tube or rod shaped elements have hollow ends for the reception of interchangeable spring-loaded connecting elements which are held in position by pins which engage in openings in the sides of the hollow ends. In one embodiment, the connecting elements are provided with jaws at their outer ends to grip component parts of the structure. Alternatively, the connecting elements may be provided with a threaded bore to receive a bolt with which to secure a component part. With this arrangement individual connecting elements and the tube or rod elements can be removed or replaced without the neces- sity of completely dismantling the framework assembly. The structure is easily assembled and disassembled into individual component parts.
