A B S T R A C T The invention relates to a framework section for a demountable panelling system, a plurality of such sections providing for a complete framework structure for panelling that can be erected in a required location. Each framework section includes two uprights held in a parallel spaced apart configuration by a base member and a top member, the position of the top member with respect to the uprights being adjustable to thereby render the framework section height adjustable. This system permits the attachment of accessories, and the like, at a constant height above floor level, in the operative configuration of the framework sections, while accommodating variations in height between floor and ceiling.
