A framing system for mounting screen or plastic sheeting in windows or on porches. A channel member having a U-shaped cross section has a base and a pair of resilient arms extending from the base. A tongue and groove arrangement allows oppositely positioned channels to snap together to form a hollow frame. A fastener for holding the channel members has a central column with a radially projecting crown which is fastened onto an existing surface to anchor the mounting system to a window or porch.
