A lid (10) is provided for use as a cover on a beverage container (1) or other dispensing device, wherein the lid includes a dispensing spout (20) therein for dispensing of the container contents therefrom. A flexible connector arm (50) extends around at least a portion of the periphery of the Hd and includes a fixed end (52) fixedly attached to the lid at a first arcuate position thereof and a free end (54) frangibly connected to the lid by a frangible tab (62) located at a second arcuate position of the lid. The free end of the connector arm can be detached from the lid by tearing along a tear line (64) provided in the connector arm spaced radially outwardly from the frangible tab. In this manner, detaching of connector arm from the lid occurs by a discrete tear line propagated through the connector arm, rather than through the lid flange, thereby allowing for detachment of the connector arm from the lid without compromising the integrity of the seal between the lid and cup. A plug (56) may be provided near the free end of the connector arm, which such plug may be removably inserted into dispensing spout of the lid once the connector arm is detached from the lid.
Un couvercle est prévu pour servir de fermeture à un contenant à boisson ou à tout autre dispositif de distribution, ledit couvercle comprenant un bec de distribution qui permet de distribuer le contenu du contenant. Une patte de connexion souple s'étend autour d'au moins une partie périphérique du couvercle et comporte une extrémité fixe reliée à demeure au couvercle au niveau d'un premier endroit cintré de ce dernier et une extrémité libre reliée de manière frangible au couvercle par un onglet frangible situé au niveau d'un deuxième endroit cintré du couvercle. L'extrémité libre de la patte de connexion peut être détachée du couvercle par déchirement d'une ligne de perforation prévue dans la patte de connexion qui est radialement espacée vers l'extérieur de l'onglet frangible. De cette manière, le détachement de la patte de connexion du couvercle est effectué par une ligne de perforation discontinue parcourant la patte de connexion plutôt que par le rebord du couvercle, ce qui permet de détacher la patte de connexion du couvercle sans porter atteinte à l'intégrité du joint entre le couvercle et le gobelet. Un élément de fermeture peut être prévu à proximité de l'extrémité libre de la patte de connexion, cet élément pouvant être inséré de manière amovible dans le bec de distribution du couvercle dès lors que la patte de connexion est détachée du couvercle.
