27260-15 Franking module Abstract A franking module instead of a slide-in drive module is inserted into a personal computer. The franking functions are controlled by using the technically available means of the personal computer and the remote value is likewise charged and set by means of the personal computer utilizing a telecommunications module and a modem. To this end, the franking module contains a processor system and a printing mechanism as well as one memory for billing and one for graphic data for generating a data item.
