A B S T R A C T Free-Fall Roller-Separator With Minor Spray-Effect An electrostatic free-fall separator for separating mixtures of substances of low electrical conductivity, more particularly mixtures of mineral substances. A predominantly horizontally directed high-voltage electrical field in the separator is produced between rotatable, roller-like, field-electrodes arranged in parallel with, and at distance from, each other. Stripping devices are provided externally of the electrical field. The top of the separator is equipped with inlet-means for the material to be separated, while the bottom thereof is equipped with separating tongues, the in- clination of which is adjustable. The roller-like field- electrodes are in the form of cylindrical hollow bodies closed at each end with a hemispherical cap, and are arranged with their horizontally directed longitudinal axes at the same height and parallel with each other.
