The invention relates to a free fall simulator comprising aerogenerator means (1) and an essentially-cylindrical wind tunnel (2) for receiving people (3) in free fall. The wall (24) of the wind tunnel is made from a film of flexible material which is stretched taut using only two frames (28, 29) which are fixed to the ends of the wind tunnel (2) and to a superstructure (5) that is used to support the wind tunnel (2). The flexible film forming the wall (24) of the wind tunnel (2) is translucent and serves as a screen on which real or simulated images can be projected from the exterior of the tunnel (2) such as to be visible inside the tunnel (2). In a particular embodiment of the invention, the aerogenerator means (1) are disposed in a transport container (74) and the superstructure (5) of the simulator can be disassembled such that the simulator can be easily transported.
L'objet de l'invention est un simulateur de chute libre comporte des moyens aérogénérateurs de puissance (1) et une veine aérodynamique (2) sensiblement cylindrique, dans laquelle évoluent les personnes (6) en état de chute libre, dont la paroi (24) est réalisée au moyen d'un film en matériau souple tendu uniquement au moyen de deux cadres (28) (29) fixés aux extrémités de la veine aérodynamique (2) et à une superstructure de maintien (5) de la veine aérodynamique (2). En particulier le film en matériau souple formant la paroi (24) de la veine aérodynamique (2) est translucide et sert d'écran pour projeter depuis l'extérieur de la veine (2) des images réelles ou simulées destinées à être vue depuis l'intérieur de ladite veine (2). Dans un mode particulier de réalisation les moyens aérogénérateurs de puissance (1) sont disposés dans un conteneur de transport (74) et la superstructure (5) du simulateur est démontable pour que le simulateur soit aisément transporté.
