Abstract of the invention A free revolution stabilizing device for a fishing reel spool, which is characterized in that an extended portion is formed on a revolution plate of a spool, an outer wheel rim is provided so as for it to correspond with an outer wheel of a housing, and a stabilizing wheel is provided on a supporting shaft of the outer end of a clutch lever so as for the stabilizing wheel to contact- revolve with the outer wheel rim of the spool. According to the present invention, one touch operation for the clutch lever has only to be exercised to stabilize the free revolution motions of the spool, the fishing string can be smoothly released without being entanglingly wound around the revolution shaft, the winding amount of the fishing string can be increased and the fishing reel can be miniaturized.
