ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention provides a method of and apparatus for concentrating comestible liquids in which butane or like cooling medium is injected into the liquid to form ice therein, the cooling medium is removed from the liquid by evaporation, the ice is removed from the liquid and the liquid is then further concentrated by indirect heat exchange and ice separation.
