A freezing frame (39) has two cylindrically curved perforated plats (40, 41) adapted to contain a freezing bag (10) during a freezing process in which the bag is suspended with its length vertical in a freezing medium, including, on each plate (40, 41), a series of horizontally disposed ribs (48) extending into the volume of the frame.
