A collapsible container for transporting goods, comprising a floor (1) and a plurality of side walls (2), whereby at least one first side wall has at least one door (3) for loading and unloading the container, and at least one side wall (2) adjacent to the door (3) has at least one guide rail (4) arranged essentially horizontally for swiveling the door (3) and for sliding the door (3) along the guide rail (4), in such a way that, by lifting the door (3), the door (3) can be moved in the guide rail (4) without it being possible for the door hinge (5) to be removed from the guide rail (4), and in this state, the door (3) can be slid along the guide rail (4) parallel to the side wall (2), so that the door hinge (5) is also attached to the door (3) so as to rotate around a vertical axis of rotation (54), and so that the guide rail (4) has on the front (45) a cutout (46) through which a sliding guide (7) installed on the inside (31) of the door engages into the guide rail (4) for purposes of preventing the door (3) from tilting when it is slid along the guide rail (4), and the sliding guide (7) is guided by the guide rail (4) during the further movement.
