-31- A frequency control system for maintaining a receiver oscillation frequency of a variable frequency oscillator of a receiver unit in a desired frequency relationship with oscillation frequency of a signal transmitted thereto. The frequency control system is operative only during those times in which the receiver unit receives an information-containing signal of desired characteristics such as a data signal or a voice signal.
