A method of, and system for applying frequency-domain equalization in a DS- CDMA system, either by augmenting the transmitted data block before it is scrambled by appending a prefix and a suffix known to or knowable by the receiver or by augmenting the transmitted data block after it is scrambled but prior to transmission so that it has a scrambled cyclic prefix. In the former case, the receiver synthesizes one of the prefix, the data block, or the suffix that would have been received if the augmented transmitted data block after scrambling had had a cyclic prefix.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un système d'application d'une égalisation dans le domaine des fréquences dans un système DS-CDMA, soit par augmentation du bloc de données transmis avant son chiffrement par ajout final d'un préfixe et d'un suffixe connus ou pouvant être connus par le récepteur, soit par augmentation du bloc de données transmis après son chiffrement mais avant la transmission de manière à lui conférer un préfixe cyclique chiffré. Dans le premier cas, le récepteur synthétise le préfixe, le bloc de données, ou le suffixe qui aurait été reçu si le bloc de données transmis augmenté après le cryptage possédait un préfixe cyclique.
