ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION "FREQUENCY MODULATION" A frequency modulatable oscillator arrangement has a frequency controllable oscillator (VCO) whose output frequency (f) is stabilised by means of a reference oscilla- tion (fref) via a phase regulating loop comprising a phase comparator (P) and a loop filter (TP). In order that a frequency modulator of this kind can process d.c. components in the case of a modulation signal (sm) in keyed form without the need to dispense with the limitation of the modulation spectrum, the modulation signal is fed via a modulation filter (MTP) to the control input (e) for direct control of the oscillator frequency and also to a frequency divider (FT) included in the phase regulating loop so as to control its division ratio.
