Salt free friction increasing agent for surfaces covered with ice, snow or the like, such as roads, airports, parking lots and sidewalks, comprising a granulated absorber material chosen from the group consisting of water durable silicates, such as calcined diatomaceous earth (CDE), perlite, calcined bentonite and/or calcined clay, or sepiolite and/or naturally occurring zeolites. The agent preferably contains minor amounts of water. The invention also relates to a method for applying the agent to surfaces covered with ice or snow, by which the agent is spread to the surface in question while an amount of water generally corresponding to the absorption limit of the agent is added to the surface simultaneously with the agent or immediately thereafter.
L'invention concerne un agent d'augmentation de frottement sans sel destiné à des surfaces recouvertes de glace, de neige ou autre, telles que des routes, des aéroports, des parcs de stationnement et des trottoirs. L'agent contient une matière absorbante granulée sélectionnée dans le groupe constitué par des silicates durables dans l'eau, tels que la terre à diamotées calcinée, la perlite, la bentonite calcinée et/ou l'argile calcinée, ou la sépiolite et/ou des zéolites naturels. L'invention concerne également un procédé destiné à appliquer l'agent à des surfaces recouvertes de glace ou de neige, qui consiste à étaler l'agent à la surface en question tandis qu'une quantité d'eau correspondant généralement à la limite d'absorption de l'agent est ajoutée à la surface simultanément à l'agent ou immédiatement après.
