FRICTION MATERIAL ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A friction facing material comprising a fluoro- carbon resin binder containing elemental carbon is dis- closed for use in torque-transmitting applications in the presence of a transmission fluid or oil. The friction facing material is characterized by a sable dynamic coefficient of friction. A method of making the friction facing material and incorporating it into torque- transmitting apparatus is also disclosed.
