ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A frictional torque limiter for determining the maximum value of torque to be transmitted between driving- side and driven-side frictional transmission members includes a facing member having copper-type sintered alloy friction surfaces disposed intermediate the transmission members. Means are provided for elastically holding the facing member in frictionally engaging relation with the trans- mission members, such means also mechanically linking the driving-side members to prevent rotation therebetween and permitting relative sliding motion between the driving- side, driven-side and facing members to predetermine the torque output.
