The present invention relates to a friction welded product for rock drilling, including a first component (25) and a second component (22) of parent malarial joined by a friction weld (27), said components having a central inner passage (26). Both components are made from a steel having a chemical composition such that the hardness in the most tempered part of the heat affected zone close to the weld is at least the same as for the core hardness of the rod with normal hardness when cooled to room temperature subsequent to the friction welding thereby having a minimum core hardness at the heat affected zone above 390 HV1. The present invention further relates to a method for manufacturing a friction welded product for rock drilling.
Cette invention a trait à un produit destiné au forage du roc, obtenu par soudage par friction, comportant deux éléments (25 et 22), faits d'un matériau apparenté et réunis par soudage par friction (27), pourvus d'un passage intérieur central. Les deux composants, qui sont fabriqués en un acier d'une composition chimique telle que la dureté de la partie la plus tempérée de la zone touchée par la chaleur proche de la soudure est, à tout le moins, identique à celle du noyau de la tige, avec une dureté normale après refroidissement à la température ambiante à la suite du soudage par friction, présentent, de ce fait, une dureté centrale minimale dans la zone touchée par la chaleur, supérieure à 390 HV1 (dureté de Vickers). L'invention porte également sur un procédé de fabrication d'un produit destiné au forage du roc et obtenu par soudage par friction.
