A front end assembly (10) for a motor vehicle having spaced apart upper (24) and lower (26) side rails includes an elongated upper cross member (14) adapted to be fixedly secured to and extend between the spaced apart upper side rails. The upper cross member has a mounting surface extending the length thereof. The front end assembly also includes an elongated lower cross member (16) adapted be fixedly secured to and extend between the spaced apart lower side rails. The lower cross member has a mounting surface extending along the length thereof. In addition, the front end assembly includes a component integration panel (18) having upper and lower mounting portions (56, 58) for complementary mating engagement with the mounting surfaces (34, 48) of the respective upper and lower cross members to position the component integration panel between the upper and lower side rails and provide support to the component integration panel.

L'invention concerne un ensemble calandre (10) pour véhicule automobile comportant des rails latéraux supérieurs (24) et inférieurs (26) espacés, cet ensemble étant composé d'un élément (14) transversal supérieur allongé, conçu pour être fixé aux rails latéraux supérieurs espacés, entre lesquels il s'étend. Cet élément transversal supérieur est pourvu d'une surface de montage sur sa longueur. L'ensemble calandre comprend également un élément (16) transversal inférieur allongé conçu pour être fixé aux rails latéraux inférieurs espacés, entre lesquels il s'étend. Cet élément transversal inférieur est pourvu d'une surface de montage sur sa longueur. En outre, ledit ensemble calandre comporte aussi un panneau (18) d'intégration de composants, lequel est constitué de sections de montage (56, 58) supérieures et inférieures pour s'adapter de manière en complément aux surfaces de montage (34, 48) respectives des éléments transversaux supérieurs et inférieurs, afin de positionner le panneau d'intégration de composants entre les rails latéraux inférieurs et supérieurs et fournir ainsi un support au panneau d'intégration de composants.
