A front end module is described, wherein the module includes a plastic component connected to a metallic substrate. The metallic substrate can be formed by hydroforming and shaped into a substantially unitary member. The plastic component is then molded about the metallic substrate and simultaneously forms connections thereto at discrete locations along the length of the metallic substrate.

L'invention concerne un module avant comprenant un composant plastique connecté à un substrat métallique. Le substrat métallique peut être formé par hydroformage sous forme d'un élément sensiblement unitaire. Le composant plastique est alors moulé autour du substrat métallique et connecté simultanément à celui-ci au niveau d'emplacements discrets sur la longueur du substrat métallique.
