Abstract of the Disclosure A front facing line terminal block assembly for a tele- communications network has an external housing mountable to a frame and a field block housing pivotally mounted- to the external housing. The field block housing mounts a field block bearing a plurality of wire connectors. The external housing is capable of accepting the field block housing. A first set of retention elements is capable of positively locking the field block frame in a first, retracted position. A second set of retention elements is capable of positively locking the field block housing in a second pivotally rotated position wherein it is rotated outwardly of the external housing. An access door is pivotally mounted to the field block housing.
