IMPROVEMENTS RELATING TO FROTH FLOTATION APPARATUS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention provides froth flotation apparatus comprising a rotary shaft with an impeller and a stationary cover plate located directly above the impeller. Blades are arranged on the impeller base plate. An annular region of the cover plate extends radially beyond the impeller and is provided with downwardly projecting fins which are offset, relative to the radial direction, with respect to the direction of rotation of the impeller.
