ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method for making a frozen product which upon sub- sequent thawing has the characteristics of a mil shake. In the method, a mix containing fat, disaccharide sugar, mono- saccharide sugar, a stabilizer, an emulsifier and a polyhydric alcohol freezing point depressant is prepared. The mix is pasteurized and homogenized; thereafter, the mix is dynamically cooled to a temperature of less than about -7°C while gas is injected into the mix. The cooled mix is then frozen .
