A video overlay system for a Fiber to the Premises (FTTP) optical network. The video overlay is achieved by including a video router with a gigabit Ethernet interface including Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) multicasting capability in a headend. The video router transmits unidirectional Internet Protocol video to a plurality of Single Family Unit (SFU) Optical Network Terminations (ONTs) at 1550nm. The SFU ONTs include IGMP snooping (MxU ONT with multicasting) capability and carry bi-directional control signals from Set Top Boxes (STBs) using 1490nm downstream and 1310nm upstream traffic to the headend via an Optical Line Termination (OLT).

Système d'intégration vidéo pour réseau optique FTTP (Fiber to the Premises). L'intégration vidéo s'obtient au moyen d'un routeur avec interface Ethernet gigabit à capacité multidiffusion à Protocole Internet de Gestion de Groupe (IGMP) dans une tête de réseau. Le routeur vidéo transmet une vidéo à protocole Internet unidirectionnel à une pluralité de terminaisons de réseau optique (ONT) pour unité familiale seule (SFU) à 1550nm. Les SFU ONT possèdent une capacité de furetage IGPM (MxU. ONT) avec multidiffusion et transportent des signaux de commande bidirectionnels depuis des décodeurs (STB) via un trafic aval de 1490nm et amont de 1310nm vers la tête de réseau par une terminaison de ligne optique (OLT).
