"FUEL ASSEMBLY FOR PRESSURE-TUBE REACTOR" ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A cluster type nuclear fuel assembly for a pressure-tube reactor wherein a plurality of fuel rods are longitudinally ar- ranged so as to form concentric circular outer, intermediate and inner fuel rod arrays. Most of the fuel rods disposed in these fuel rod arrays are formed of a plutonium/uranium mixed- oxide fuel material, and the remaining three or four fuel rods disposed in the intermediate fuel rod array are formed of an enriched uranium oxide fuel material containing therein a burn- able poison. These fuel rods containing burnable poison are regularly disposed at substantially equal distance adjacent each other in the intermediate array so that they are arranged to be in a substantially uniform distribution in the fuel assembly.
