Apparatus for powering an electric motor (4) comprising a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) (8) having a controlled fuel input (22) and a controlled oxidizer input (24). This apparatus may be combined with a turbine (104) driven by the exhaust gases of the fuel cell (8). The turbine (104) drives a generator whose power output (102) supplements the fuel cell power output (96) to power the electric motor (4). The oxidizer may be compressed by a compressor (98) driven by the turbine (104). The electric motor (4) may be a DC unipolar motor with controlled field excitation current. A controller (40') may control the fuel input (90), the compressor oxidizer input (108) or the field excitation current.
Appareil servant à entraîner un moteur électrique (4) comportant une pile à combustible oxyde solide (SOFC) (8) dotée d'une entrée régulée de combustible (22) et d'une entrée régulée de carburant (24). Cet appareil peut s'associer à une turbine (104) entraînée par les gaz d'échappement de la pile à combustible (8). La turbine (104) entraîne un générateur dont la puissance produite (102) s'ajoute à celle (96) de la pile à combustible en vue d'entraîner le moteur électrique (4). Le comburant peut être comprimé par un compresseur (98) entraîné par la turbine (104). Le moteur électrique (4) peut être un moteur c.c. unipolaire à courant d'excitation de champ régulé. Un régulateur (40') peut réguler l'admission de combustible (90), l'admission de comburant comprimé (108) ou le courant d'excitation de champ.
