Disclosed is a fuel cell separator comprising a base (1) containing not less than 70% by mass of Al, a foundation layer (2) formed on the base and containing Ti, an intermediate layer (3) formed on the foundation layer and containing TiNx or TiOy, and a conductive metal layer (4) formed on the intermediate layer and containing Au or Pt. The fuel cell separator is excellent in corrosion resistance even through it uses a base mainly composed of aluminum.
