It is described a membrane fuel cell stack (1) comprising metal current- collecting plates of high electrical conductivity (3'), for instance of aluminium or copper, having a reduced planform with respect to the one of the elementary cells (2). With this type of design the galvanic-type corrosion phenomena affecting the current-collecting plates of the prior art and the consequent metal ion release in the circulating water are overcome .

L'invention concerne un empilement (1) de piles à combustible à membrane, comprenant des plaques métalliques (3') collectrices de courant présentant une forte conductivité électrique, par exemple en aluminium ou en cuivre, et présentant une forme en plan réduite par rapport à l'une des piles élémentaires (2) de l'empilement (1). Cette structure permet de remédier aux phénomènes de corrosion de type galvanique qui affectent les plaques collectrices de courant de la technique antérieure et, par conséquent, d'éviter la libération d'ions métalliques dans l'eau de circulation.
