The present invention is directed to a composition made by reacting A) an aldehyde of 1 to 12 carbon atoms or a reactive equivalent thereof; and B) at least one etheramine represented by the formula R2O(CH2CH(R)O)n-R1-NH2]y (I) wherein each n is a number from 0 to about 50; each R is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen hydrocarbyl groups of 1 to about 16 carbon atoms, and mixtures thereof; each R1 is selected from the group consisting of a hydrocarbylene group containing 2 to about 18 carbon atoms and a group represented by the formula -(R6N)p-7- wherein both R6 and R7 are hydrocarbylene groups of about 3 to about 10 carbon atoms and p is a number from 1 to 4; y is 1, 2, or 3; and each R2 is a hydrocarbyl group having a valence of y and containing 1 to about 50 carbon atoms when y is 1 and 1 to about 18 carbon atoms when y is 2 or 3; y is 1, 2, or 3; provided that when n is zero, y is 1. The reaction product can include a N-substituted perhydro-s-triazine represented by the formula Image Fuel additives containing these compositions are useful in reducing intake valve deposit and do not contribute to the increase in combustion chamber deposit in port fuel injected engines.
La présente invention concerne une composition obtenue en faisant réagir : A) un aldéhyde en C1-C12 ou un composé réactif équivalent; et B) au moins un amino-éther de formule R2¢O(CH2CH(R)O)n-R1-NH2!y (I), dans laquelle : chaque n est un nombre allant de 0 à 50; chaque R est choisi parmi le groupe constitué de l'atome d'hydrogène, de groupements hydrocarbyles en C1-C16 et de leurs mélanges; chaque R1 est choisi parmi le groupe constitué des groupements hydrocarbylènes en C2-C18 et des groupements de formule -(R6NH)p-R7-, dans laquelle R6 et R7 sont tous les deux des groupements hydrocarbylènes contenant d'environ 3 à environ 10 atomes de carbone, et p est un nombre égal à 1, 2, 3 ou 4; y est égal à 1, 2 ou 3; chaque R2 est un hydrocarbyle de valence y, en C1-C50 lorsque y est égal à 1 et en C1-C18 lorsque y est égal à 2 ou 3; et y est égal à 1 lorsque n est égal à 0. Le produit de la réaction peut comprendre une perhydro-s-triazine dont les atomes d'azote portent un substituant, représentée par la formule Image . Les additifs pour carburants contenant ces compositions sont utiles pour réduire les dépôts sur les soupapes d'admission et ne contribuent pas à une augmentation des dépôts dans la chambre de combustion des moteurs à carburant injecté dans l'orifice d'admission.
