A Solenoid operated actuator comprising a single solenoid coil (3); a first armature (9) movable when the solenoid coil (3) is selectively energised and deenergised; and a second armature (26) movable when the same solenoid coil (3) is selectively energised and deenergised. The actuator may be employed to control the opening of charge delivery and fuel metering valves (21; 8) in a fuel injector (1) with overlapping of the opening time of the charge delivery and fuel metering valves (21; 8) being achievable.

L'invention concerne un récepteur à fonctionnement solénoïdal comprenant un seul fil métallique solénoïdal (3); une première armature (9) mobile lorsque le fil métallique solénoïdal (3) est, sélectivement, mis sous tension et mis hors tension; et une deuxième armature (26) mobile lorsque ledit fil métallique solénoïdal (3) est, sélectivement, mis sous tension et mis hors tension. Le récepteur peut être employé pour contrôler l'ouverture du débit de charge et des soupapes de dosage de carburant (21; 8) dans un injecteur à carburant (1) avec chevauchement réalisable du temps d'ouverture du débit de charge et des soupapes de dosage (21; 8).
