A B S T R A C T A fuel injection system for a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine comprising a rigid elongated unitary member (11) incorporating a gas supply duct (13), a fuel supply duct (14) and a fuel return duct (15), each extending in the direction of elongation of the unitary member (11). A fuel metering means (12) and a fuel injecting means (12), for each engine cylinder. The fuel metering means (10) being arranged to deliver metered quantities of fuel to the fuel injecting means (12) and being in communication with the fuel supply and fuel return ducts (14) and (15) so that in use fuel can be circulated through each fuel metering means (10). Each fuel injecting means (12) being in communication with the gas duct (13) and communicable with a respective cylinder of the engine to deliver fuel thereto. Each fuel injecting means (10) being adapted to effect delivery of the metered quantity of fuel entrained in gas supplied from the gas duct (13) when the fuel injecting means (12) is in communication with the cylinder.
