A fuel supply control system for an internal combustion engine having a catalytic converter arranged in the exhaust system, includes an ECU which estimates a storage amount of oxygen stored in the catalytic converter, calculates a physical amount having correlation with a purification rate of the catalytic converter, based on the estimated storage amount of oxygen, and controls the air-fuel ratio of an air-fuel mixture to be supplied to the engine, based on the calculated physical amount.

Cette invention concerne un circuit d'alimentation de moteur à combustion interne dont le circuit d'échappement comporte un convertisseur catalytique, ledit circuit d'alimentation comprenant un régulateur électronique qui estime la quantité d'oxygène stockée dans le catalyseur, calcule en fonction du taux de purification caractérisant le convertisseur catalytique la quantité d'oxygène résiduelle post-traitement et règle le rapport air-carburant en fonction de la quantité résiduelle calculée.
