ABSTRACT A fuel supply for a multi-cylinder fuel injected internal combustion engine includes a fuel distributor having a tubular distributor housing with at least one fuel feed connection and at least one fuel return connection. The fuel distributor has a number of first receiving bores which correspond in number to the fuel injector valves of the engine and a second receiving bore at an end wall of the distributor housing. Internal combustion engines with at least two banks of cylinders are provided with one fuel distributor for each bank of cylinders, whereby the fuel flow dividers are of identical construction and are connected in series by a fuel carrying conduit. The second receiving bore of one of the fuel distributors houses a fuel pressure control valve and the second receiving bore of another of the fuel distributors houses a fuel pressure test connection. The manufacturing costs and storage costs of such a fuel supply are reduced and repairs simplified, since all fuel distributors are of identical construction.
