ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION A full-body, shock-free exercising machine (10) having a base member (12), an upright member (18) extending upwardly from the base member, right and left lower lever arms (24) and (22) pivotally mounted on the lower part of the upright frame member, the free ends thereof being operable for standing on by users. Right and left upper lever arms (28) and (30) are pivotally mounted on the upright frame member. The upper ends of right and left tie rods (44) and (42) are pivotally connected to the right and left upper lever arms respectively, and at their lower ends of the right and left tie rods are pivotally connected to the right and left lower lever arms, respectively, such that rotation of the lower lever arm on either side of the exercising machine in one direction causes rotation of theupper lever arms on the same side of the machine in an opposite direction. The movement of the lower lever arms is synchronized so that when one of the lower lever arms is moving upwardly. A shock-free resistance system (56) resists the movement of the right and/or left lower lever arms and thus also the movement ofthe upper lever arms.
