A control mechanism for a resectioning device, comprises a first actuator coupled to a flexible drive shaft for actuating a first mechanism when operated in a first direction and for actuating, when operated in a second direction, a second mechanism and a first lockout mechanism coupled to the first actuator for preventing actuation of the first actuator in the second direction before a predetermined amount of actuation in the first direction has been completed. Furthermore, mechanisms are provided to control the release during operation in a second direction of torsional energy stored in a flexible drive shaft during operation in a first direction.

L'invention concerne un mécanisme de commande destiné à un dispositif de résection. Ledit mécanisme comprend un premier actionneur (160) couplé à un arbre d'entraînement flexible (163) servant à actionner un premier mécanisme, lorsqu'on le fait fonctionner dans une première direction (164), et servant à actionner un second mécanisme lorsqu'on le fait fonctionner dans une seconde direction (169). Ce mécanisme de commande comporte également un premier mécanisme de verrouillage couplé au premier dispositif d'actionnement, de manière à empêcher l'actionnement dudit premier dispositif d'actionnement dans la seconde direction, avant réalisation d'une quantité prédéterminée d'actionnement dans la première direction. En outre, des mécanismes permettent de commander la libération, au cours du fonctionnement dans une seconde direction de l'énergie de torsion stockée dans un arbre d'entraînement souple, pendant le fonctionnement dans une première direction.
