ABSTRACT A full wave rectifier includes an operational amplifier having a non-inverting grounded input, an inverting input and an output. A first resistor is connected between the inverting input and the input terminal of the rectifier and a second resistor having the same resistance as the first resistor is connected between the inverting input and the output terminal of the rectifier. These two resistors serve as a gain setter for the rectifier. A depletion type MOS FET is connected between the output of the operational amplifier and the output terminal of the rectifier. The invention increases the rectification range achieved by conventional rectifiers which use a diode at the output of the operational amplifier. The invention also allows the rectifier to be made using an MOS integrated circuit technique.
